Square D Factory Coming Under Fire For Exposing Workers To Asbestos

A new asbestos case has been won in favor of the victim and compensation will be given for the victim of mesothelioma. Vickie Williams was diagnosed with malignant mesothelioma which she claimed came from working in a factory for a period in her career.

Vickie worked in the Square D factory and that’s where she claimed the asbestos exposure came from. When she came home from work every day, her clothes would be full of a strange dust that was later revealed to be asbestos.

Asbestos is an extremely dangerous mineral that causes disease and cancers. One of these diseases is malignant mesothelioma, the same cancer that Vickie contracted. This cancer is deadly, people who contract this cancer do not have long to live. The cancer is caused by the inhaling of asbestos fibers. When VIckie arrived from work every day with asbestos fibers on her clothes, its no doubt that she had been inhaling those same fibers every day. After months of inhaling the fibers, they embedded themselves into the tissue of her lungs, causing the cells to negatively react and become cancerous.

After realizing that the mesothelioma she contracted was from this particular factory, she was quick to file a mesothelioma lawsuit against the company. The court sided with Vickie after hearing her side of the story. They allowed her case to continue in the courts. This means that she is closer to reaching the compensation she deserves for the asbestos she was exposed to.

In an interesting turn of events, VIckie will actually never be able to see that compensation. She died in 2017 of the deadly mesothelioma cancer. In fact, her husband will receive all of the compensation money. He has decided to continue her case against Square D and is seeking compensation for his dead wife.
